Celebrating 10 Years of North Lincolnshire Imagination Library
In 2023 the trust hosted the North Lincolnshire Year of Reading. This involved working with North Lincolnshire Council and local community groups and organisations to provide over 100 reading themed events and activities for children, young people and families living in North Lincolnshire.
The project was developed to help celebrate 10 years of the North Lincolnshire Imagination Library and to inspire everyone across our authority to enjoy reading for pleasure. Some of the highlights included: Nick Sharratt’s Big Draw Along, Luna Loves Library Day Theatre, The Big Sing -Dragons, Benjamin Zephaniah, Patrice Lawrence – Needle in North Lincs Tour, The Greatest Robot Ever, The Everest Files Transition Project, Intergenerational Rhyme Challenge and so much more.
Massive thanks to Wrendale Designs, SSE Thermal, Rotary Club of Scunthorpe, The Foyle Foundation and North Lincolnshire Council for supporting with grant funding and support in kind, which ensured the year was a great success.
